Dynamo Kiev vs Arsenal

Venue: Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium Date: Wednesday, 17 September
Kick-off: 1945 BST Coverage: Sky Sports 3, BBC Sport website, BBC Radio Five Live

Team News: Nasri may not be fit in time to make the trip to the Ukraine for the Champions League clash against Dynamo Kiev.

The Frenchman, 21, will have his injured ankle checked before a decision on whether he travels.

Mikael Silvestre could return but Gael Clichy and Emmanuel Eboue have niggles.

Following Adebayor's hattrick at the weekend, the Kiev manager said the following:

"We knew very well prior to this the capabilities of the Arsenal forward," said Semin.

"But we will not be putting a man-marker on him. Adebayor plays all over the pitch, and in every zone there will be one of our players to meet him."

Following that comment, it looks likely that Kiev will be playing a closing down game, looking to frustrate our attack by not allowing them to get going. However, they might find it hard to close down a certain Mr. Theo Walcott (or should I say Trio?!). Theo looks to continue his good form after his sensational hattrick during the international break.

Now, more about our opponents on Wednesday. Dynamo Kiev come into the game in good form having beaten Olkom Melitopol by 5 goals in a league cup game. However, they played a reserve team for that game, so their first team go into Wednesday fully rested.

It is going to be a tough game for the Gunners. One in which I feel that we should win, not comfortably but win all the same. We go into the game in fantastic form, scoring a total of 11 goals in the past three games as well as having the best defensive record in the league with only one goal conceded. Its an extremely hard game to open our Champions League campaign with, but a game that we can win.

Thanks for reading,

Cheese

Great bits of info there Cheesy.

Certainly looks like Kiev will be playing a Zonal style of play, which will facilitate us, much more than a man marking system.

Thats basically my disagreeing point with yours. While a zonal system is played, it will leave more gaps for us to exploit, through our passing game.

Awaiting this game after a string of great results. There pressure will be on us to perform, The Gunners should deliver.

Yeah, I didnt know how to quite word it. I still believe that Kiev will close us down quickly but will do it zonally if that makes sense.

Basically the closest player will close us down to stop us from playing.

BTW, you couldnt help me out with some TV links could ya? ;)

Your welcome Ex. Forever yours at service, Center Forward we are.

And Im in agreement with you. Its not going to be an easy outing tonight. And as for the game in Turkey, they are never easy and for us, I expect a very tough task ahead. We have a lot of travelling to do, from one end to the other. Our players will be tired/exhausted and we will be going to hostile grounds.

Still no link working for me :(

Just one that is 1 minute delayed. I'll take that though, thank you lot for the effort :)

Werder, you'll need Tvants and Sopcast on the system to run it. If you install the latest version, the 2nd set of links should work.

But also, I think most links will have delays. Hard to find the perfect one ;)
